Hail To the Chef
Magickal Recipes of Ron Miller

[These recipes appeared in the Compost NewsLetter during 1990-92, while Ron was the executive chef of the Ristorante Donatello in San Francisco. All Magickal interpretations and comments are by Valerie Walker.]
Walnut Drop Cookies
5 oz. butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 oz. chopped walnuts, toasted
1 cup flour
Cream the butter, salt, sugar and vanilla. Add the chopped walnuts and flour and beat until combined.
Pipe into a buttered and floured sheet pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Sprinkle the cookies with granulated sugar immediately upon removing them from the oven.
